Fill-in-the-Blank

     Our "fill-in-the-blank" legal form package to file for divorce will include every document necessary to obtain a divorce in the state of Idaho, providing that it remains uncontested.   There are basically 3 steps involved:

  • Filing a Petition & other required documents;

  • Serving (or accepting) copies of filed documents;

  • Finalizing by mutual agreement or trial.

     Even if you are not certain if the divorce will remain un- contested, the first 2 steps are the same, and filing those 2 steps will likely save you at least $1,000, even if you decide to add in an attorney later.

     The best way to insure an uncontested divorce is to be fair in the terms that you request.  To do otherwise invites having the divorce contested, which will result in months of high stress before it becomes final, and will likely cost you thousand of dollars.  And, if there are minor children involved, may cause permanent damage to their future relationships.  Leave getting even to God or karma.

    A typical divorce package includes a coversheet, and instructions for copying, assembling, signing, filing, and serving the following documents:

  • Petition for Divorce

  • Summons

  • Affidavit Verifying Income (if minor children)

  • Child Support Worksheets (if minor children)

  • Family Law Case Information Sheet

  • Affidavit of Service (if parties are not in agreement)

  • Acknowledgment of Service (if parties are in agreement)

  • Stipulation for Entry of Divorce (if parties are in agreement)

  • Motion for Default (if uncontested)

  • Affidavit in Support of Default

  • Order of Default

  • Judgment and Decree of Divorce
